Thank you for volunteering your time to host a workshop for our SWECCathon participants! Here’s a definitive guide as to what you need to do for a successful workshop.

Logistics

🗓️ Any day between April 21 and April 25. Make sure that it doesn’t conflict with our opening ceremonies (April 23, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm).

⏱️ Aim for 1 to 1.5 hours.

📍If you are a UW RSO, we recommend having an in-person location to host your workshop. Otherwise, you can host it online (e.g. via Zoom).

• Assume your audience is new to the topic you want to teach/present.
• Introduce yourself and/or your RSO and start with a small icebreaker!
• Provide code references that can be reviewed after the workshop (e.g. putting your demo code in a GitHub repository, documentation).
